Annette Male has been promoted by DigitasLBi from Singapore managing director to APAC chief executive officer.
Male, who joined the agency in March 2015, has been credited with doubling the size of the business and assisting in account wins including Unilever, Pernod Ricard and UOB.
“After a brilliant year running the Singapore business, I’m delighted to be stepping into this expanded role,” said Male. “I’m really looking forward to building our unique data-driven approach, working with the best talent in the region and continuing to deliver award-winning work which makes a place for our clients’ brands in people’s lives.”
Male’s new role will see her responsible for driving growth across the APAC region, stepping into the shoes of Roy Capon, who is leaving the agency to take up a new role in Australia.
“I’d like to thank Roy for his work over the last four years he has transformed the APAC region and is handing an exceptional team and roster of clients over to Annette,” said DigitasLBi International chief executive Ewen Sturgeon.
Prior to DigitasLBi, Male was deputy managing director at CRM agency Kitcatt Nohr, part of the DigitasLBi family, with experience at Mars, CHI & Partners, Tequila London and TBWA\GGT.
This new appointment comes shortly after DigitasLBi client services boss Laurent Ezekiel was named New York managing director.
