Global business and culture magazine Monocle is teaming up with BBC World News for its own TV show.
A weekly half-hour show is to air on the news station from the second quarter of this year and is expected to act as an extension of the magazine’s print output.
Editor-in-chief and founder Tyler Brûlé will present the series, which reflects the magazine’s broad content covering emerging geopolitical hotspots, business personalities and design among others.
Monocle has a readership of 150,000 across 60 markets worldwide. It launched its own podcast in December 2009 and charges $117 a year for subscriptions to its 10 issues and online content.
Brûlé was also behind the birth of Wallpaper in 1996 before selling to Time Warner a year later.
