A new website for the host cities of the 2014 World Cup has been launched by Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism and Embratur.
According to Travel News Daily, the new website, ‘Brazilian Cities Selection’, features maps, profiles, photos and videos of the main tourist attractions in the 12 cities that will host the 2014 World Cup. All content is in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
All tourist destinations on the site can be viewed in Google Maps and visitors are able to post comments and ask questions on each destination. The interactive section of the site also connects to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The marketing director of Embratur, Walter Vasconcellos said: "With the creation of this digital platform, we are able to provide tourists with relevant information about the cities that will host the World Cup as well as surrounding destinations. The site can help users plan their travel itinerary for 2014.”
