NRMA Insurance has appointed Mediacom to its $40m media account.
The incumbent on the account, Carat, had held the business for the past eight years. The agencies who pitched for the business included Naked, BellamyHayden and Initiative.
The win will see Mediacom take over media planning and buying duties for NRMA Insurance in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. They will also manage the media business of SGIC in South Australia and SGIO in Western Australia.
This is the second major piece of business to move from Carat to Mediacom in the past three weeks.
