Nikon is to launch a pan-European campaign targeting aspiring photographers.
The ‘I am Nikon’ campaign will run across Europe and South Africa and feature real-life scenarios in which people show who they are with a Nikon camera. Moments captured in the campaign include a baby taking its first steps and a bride going through her final pre-wedding preparations.
The work will appear in television, print, outdoor and online. The campaign will also be supported by a dedicated website and social networking activity.
“We hope this campaign will help to extend the legacy of the Nikon brand to a wider European audience,” said Birgitta Olson, general manager of marketing communications at Nikon Europe. “By reminding our customers that they too are at the heart of the image, we hope to ignite a new understanding of photography – one where anyone can express themselves, regardless of their photography experience.”
The ‘I am Nikon’ campaign is the first campaign that Jung von Matt/Spree has produced for the camera manufacturer since it was appointed as Nikon Europe’s advertising agency in late 2009.
