Sony has revealed plans to start selling 3D TVs in Japan and worldwide from June of this year.
The electronics manufacturer will also be releasing 3D game software for its PlayStation 3 game console in time for the release.
Sony is hoping that its 3D TV sales will account for 10% of all of its LCD sales.
Sony’s announcement follows the recent move by Samsung to start selling 3D TVs in Korea. Samsung is set to take its offering globally next month with a target of selling 2 million units this year alone.
