BMW Malaysia awards digital account to VLT

BMW Malaysia has appointed design and tech agency VLT as its digital agency in Malaysia.


The partnership will see VLT run all of the digital and social media for the BMW brand in the country for the next two years.

VLT’s client portfolio includes major brands such as Samsung, L’Oreal, Citibank, Unilever and GSK.

Incumbent agency Leo Burnett and Arc Worldwide are understood to have been involved in the pitch process, according to Campaign Asia. Leo Burnett has held the account since 2010.

David Owen, head of marketing, BMW Group Malaysia said: “VLT demonstrated the capacity and capability to deliver the level of passion that BMW needs from an agency, and we’re very excited to kick-start 2015 with them.”

Warren Tan, chief executive of VLT said: “We are so proud and honoured to be selected by a brand like BMW to lead their digital expansion in the coming year.

“We’re happy that our love for digital shone through during the pitch. This is a dream brand to work with and we can’t wait to achieve great things together,” he added.
