Oppenheimer to join Tesco board

Deanna Oppenheimer is joining Tesco’s board as a non-executive director from 1 March 2012.

Subject to FSA approval, she will be joining the board of Tesco Personal Finance Group.

“She brings a wealth of international, retail, banking and digital experience to Tesco,” says Tesco chairman Sir Richard Broadbent.

Oppenheimer stepped down from her role as head of Barclays Bank in September 2011.
