Former Y&R CEO McLennan resurfaces at News Corp

News Corporation has appointed Hamish McLennan as its executive vice-president.
The former global chairman and chief executive of Young & Rubicam will work with advertisers to develop marketing partnerships with the media empire’s brands including TheWall Street Journal, Fox and The Sun in the UK.
McLennan will be reporting to CEO Rupert Murdoch and president Chase Carey.
In the newly created role, McLennan will have a significant focus on News Corporation’s international markets.
“As we grow our international footprint we see a real opportunity to bolster the value of our brand,” says Murdoch.
