L’Oréal VP joins Edições Globo Condé Nast

Alexandre Frota has been named managing director of Edições Globo Condé Nast, taking up the position on March 12.
Frota is currently vice-president of L’Oréal Brazil, with responsibility for its luxury products division. He joined the company in 1995 as product manager, marketing the Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani brands. He went on to hold a variety of roles at its fragrances and hair care divisions.
Edições Globo Condé Nast is a joint venture between Condé Nast and Latin American media company Globo, which was established in Brazil in 2010.
“Brazil is a booming growth market where we are expanding our activities,” says Condé Nast International chairman and chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. “Frota comes to Edições Globo Condé Nast with a wealth of experience in the luxury field and a track record of success.”
Edições Globo Condé Nast currently publishes Vogue, Casa Vogue and GQ.
