Pearson snaps up Minick-Scokalo in top role

Pearson, owner of the Financial Times and Penguin, has appointed former Cadbury marketer Tamara Minick-Scokalo as president of its education business across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

Minick-Scokalo joins from privately-funded technology business Trax where she was CEO and founder.

Her marketing career began with a 20-year stint at Procter & Gamble as well as senior European marketing roles at EJ Gallo and Elizabeth Arden.

She then joined Cadbury as head of global commerce in 2007 and became president of Cadbury Europe, before Kraft’s takeover of Cadbury when she took on the role of president of chocolate for Europe.

“We are playing a much bigger role in education across the EMEA regions and engaging much more directly with a wider range of customers,” says Pearson chief executive of international business John Fallon. “With her extensive international marketing and operational experience, Tamara will being a new set of skills to our organisation and play a key role in building a bigger business playing a much broader role in delivering educational services across the region.”
