PROFILE
TV5Monde is an international, French-language general interest network with eight channels making it the world’s second largest TV network. In addition to international news, the channel broadcasts movies and music magazines, covering lifestyle and culture, but also youth interest, live sports, fi lm and current aff airs. Sporting highlights include the Tour de France, and it was also the only French-speaking channel to broadcast from Beijing during this summer’s Olympics and Paralympics. The channel reports that it now airs in more than 3.5 million hotel rooms, with more than 940,000 signing up to its website’s hotel and travel service.
