PROFILE
GEO was first published in Germany in 1976 and quickly became the biggest monthly magazine in the German market. Today GEO is published in 21 countries worldwide and is G+J's most international magazine brand. In summer 2008 GEO India, the first English language version, was launched and at the beginning of 2009 GEO India, the first Latin-American GEO was introduced in Brazil.
BRAND EXTENSIONS
Some of GEO’s extensions include line-extensions (children, travel), photo exhibitions, calendars, books, DVDs and digital initiatives.
KEY DEVELOPMENTS
In the last 12 months GEO India and Brazil has launched, in addtion to eight GEO websites ( Russia, Finland, Spain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia). In the next twelve months there are plans to launch two new GEO websites in Italy and Bulgaria as well as further international expansion.
