PROFILE

Travel Channel presents an informative but entertaining look at the world’s popular destinations – from welltrodden paths to the more exotic and adventurous. Its programming covers everything from backpacking in Nepal to wine-making in South Africa. Recent additions focus on environmental concerns and ‘green’ holidays. The channel a racts an affluent audience of frequent travellers, as well as those hungry for more knowledge about the world. This year the channel has seen considerable growth in distribution across central and eastern Europe, and further growth is targeted for Germany, Turkey and Asia next year. The channel has also relaunched its website, which will continue to develop to offer new, non-linear opportunities.
