Summary:  BBDO secured approximately $750m in published new business wins. They included Mercedes, Guinness and Singtel in Asia; Fiat, Volvo and Capital One in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Starbucks and Sony in North America. In total, 20 different agencies were named Agency of the Year in their respective markets. HP named BBDO global agency for the digital imaging and printing business in at least 50 markets, and Tag Heuer and Hyatt named it global agency of record. 

 

BBDO and Proximity fielded the largest ever global study of Generation X, “The Lost Generation”, rolled out across 17 countries to more than 5,000 people and involving hundreds of hours of film to try to understand the most powerful generation on the planet. For “Trading Up, Trading Down and Trading Off” BBDO conducted in-depth behavioral research in six markets to better understand how people are responding to the financial crisis. The study is currently being rolled out to another 10 countries.
