Unilever selects Profero for Tresemme duties

Unilever has appointed digital agency Profero to handle the global digital marketing for its shampoo brand Tresemme, as it looks to further expand its presence across the globe.

Independent shop Profero will handle the global digital duties for Tresemme, which is part of the Albert-Culver portfolio that Unilever acquired in 2010 for $3.7bn. The account will be led out of the agency’s New York office.

The Tresemme brand already has a presence in the Americas, Australia, South Africa and Europe.

It is suspected that Profero will help with the brand’s expansion to Asia, where the agency has worked with Unilever before on its Domestos, Safe, Sunlight and Glorax brands in 2011.

The appointment doesn’t appear to affect Tresemme’s lead creative agency Mullen.
