DDB scoops Electrolux $40m pan-Euro ad duties

Swedish household appliance maker Electrolux has appointed DDB Europe to handle its $40m pan-European advertising account.

Electrolux called a review of its creative duties in February and DDB Europe picked up the account following a pitch process which took place at the company’s headquarters in Stockholm.

DDB will be tasked with creating brand advertising and product campaigns for Electrolux until 2013. The agency will also be responsible for developing communications platforms and creative material for the brand’s domestic appliances and floor-care products across Europe.

DDB will take over the account from Lowe Worldwide, which handled its brand advertising account, and Inferno, which had worked on the creative account for its retail business.
