Festival of Media Global 2015 will take place at the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri on 10 to 12 May, with the event exploring how media is impacting on consumers’ lives and driving global business.

With the rise of purely digital news providers such as Vice, Buzzfeed and The Huffington Post, Maymann and Pemsel will discuss how news media is being forced to change in a world of smartphones and social media.

GoViral co-founder Maymann has been chief executive at AOL-owned Huffington Post since 2012, recently overseeing its launch in India, while Pemsel was promoted to deputy CEO in 2011, following stints as chief commercial officer and CMO as the UK publisher.

Last week, we revealed that Alfonso Rodés Vilà, deputy CEO of Havas and CEO of Havas Media Group, Mike Cooper, global CEO PHD, and Jim Elms, global CEO at Initiative, have been confirmed as speakers on the topic of the ‘new agency model’.
