BBC Worldwide renews deal with Red Bee Media

BBC Worldwide Channels has renewed a multi-year deal with Red Bee Media, which will see the media management company continue to provide broadcast services for BBC channels across Europe and South Africa.

Red Bee Media will provide end-to-end, file-based media management and play-out services for eight BBC channels. These include BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge and BBC Lifestyle channels in South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, as well as CBeebies in South Africa and the pan-European BBC HD service.

“We’re pleased that BBC Worldwide has selected Red Bee Media as its ongoing partner of choice,” said Red Bee Media chief executive Bill Patrizio. “This deal is testimony to our ability to deliver first-rate, innovative media solutions that continually evolve to meet our partners’ needs.”
