PROFILE
TV5Monde is a global general interest television channel that broadcasts in the French language. While programming is exclusively aired in French, it is subtitled in 12 other languages. It serves 220 million households in 200 countries worldwide. In the past year, TV5Monde has increased its multi-screen distribution with programmes made accessible on the internet, mobile devices, through video-on-demand, and web TV. In 2012, the channel aims to increase its personalised TV experience with the launch of more video-on-the-move devices and a catch-up service. It will also launch the service on connected TVs and develop its social network presence.
