MediaCom leads the way with the highest number of nominations for this year’s Festival of Media LatAm Awards, it has been revealed, with OMD in second place.
The GroupM agency has been shortlisted 24 times across 13 different categories, categories including Best Communications Strategy, The Effectiveness Award, Best Social Media Campaign and the newly-introduced Best Use of an Influencer.
Next on the list is Omnicom Media Group’s OMD with 15 listings, followed closely by IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative on 14. Other entrants to make the shortlist include Adsmovil, ESPN, F.biz, and Posterscope Brazil.
Argentina is the most-represented market on the shortlist, followed by Brazil and Colombia in joint second place.
The shortlist will be evaluated by a jury jury chaired by Jennelle Tilling, chief marketing officer for KFC Global, and the winners will be announced at the Festival of Media LatAm on 6 October at Turnberry Isle Miami.
Speakers at this year’s the Festival of Media LatAm include Claudia Ruiz Massieu, Mexico’s secretary of foreign affairs, Facebook North America marketing director Michelle Klein and Dentsu Aegis Network Latin America president Claudia Colaferro.
