Coley will be in charge of leading the staff of 100 in the integrated MEC Singapore and Global Solutions businesses, while Chan will develop and implement client focused solutions for all main regional clients, whilst driving the agency’s client leadership community. Both will report to the GroupM agency’s APAC chief executive APAC Peter Vogel.

“This is an exciting time for us in the region, after a great year which has truly re-booted our growth,” said Vogel. “It’s great to have such senior, talented and experienced client leaders in the region, both with proven track records on delivering excellent client focused solutions.

“Connie and Allison are two incredibly strong female leaders and role models in our industry and beyond – and I couldn’t think of anyone better suited to lead our clients to continued growth.”

Coley has been in the industry for 18 years, spending 12 of those with MEC in the US and UK, most recently as client president for MEC Global Solutions London. She replaces current MEC Singapore managing director Sharon Soh, who will leave at the end of January after 18 years with the group.

Chan has been managing director of MEC Global Solutions in Singapore since the division’s inception in 2006, as well acting as the first female president of the Singapore 4A’s.

In 2006, MEC APAC won business from brands such as Vodafone, Meituan and Friesland Campina – as well as the regional launch of MEC’s specialist content offer, MEC Wavemaker.

In December 2016, MEC Wavemaker extended its content unit to China.
