Nat Geo promotes Deagan Sweet to global sales role
01 February 2012
National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has appointed Germaine Deagan Sweet as its senior vice-president of global content sales.
Deagan Sweet’s role will be to oversee the global content sales team, which has offices across the globe in London, Paris, Washington DC, Moscow and Tokyo and manages a catalogue of more than 2,500 hours of content.
Deagan Sweet will be based in London and will report to National Geographic Channels Worldwide chief financial officer James Bond.
She was previously VP of content sales and was responsible for expanding business into video-on-demand, mobile and broadband platforms and for increasing revenue in new markets. She joined the channel in 2003.
“Not only has Germaine consistently demonstrated the keenest insight within the sales and licensing landscape, her strategic oversight in spearheading NGCI’s Global Content Sales expansion has proven a major success as the team increases its portfolio and presence across the globe,” says Bond.
