IKEA assembles reality show in the Netherlands

IKEA is launching a reality show called
Fix This Kitchen in the Netherlands this April.
Debuting on April 15 on SBS 6, the show involves surprise renovations of amateur cooks’ kitchens.
Each week, a different professional chef will manage a kitchen makeover to surprise an amateur cook. Fix This Kitchen in the Netherlands is being produced by MEC Entertainment and Telegraaf Media Video.
“The kitchen is the center of the house. This is where people cook, eat, and congregate throughout the day,” says IKEA Netherlands managing director Eva-Lotta Sjöstedt. “This program provides a great way to showcase our top quality kitchens to the Netherlands."
The show has proven successful in the US where it is entering its second season. The format was created and developed by IKEA and MEC entertainment.
