Kinetic Worldwide APAC CEO departs
03 September 2012
Kinetic Worldwide Asia Pacific chief executive Chris O’Donnell has stepped down due to “some unavoidable issues”, according to the agency.
WPP-owned Kinetic Worldwide Media reported that O’Donnell left the agency last week. Whilst Kinetic looks for a replacement, the chief executive position will be overseen by chief operating officer Claudine Kwek who is based in Singapore.
O’Donnell had held the post since January 2010, having previously worked as Kinetic Worldwide’s business development director in London for five and a half years. Prior to joining Kinetic, he worked at out-of-home firm Clear Channel for 12 years as a sales manager and development director.
O’Donnell is credited with significantly building the agency’s UK business and was originally appointed to the Asia Pacific position to help grow Kinetic’s operations in China.
In Asia Pacific, Kinetic has a presence in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong. It has a staff of approximately 300 and services clients including HSBC and Accenture in the region.
