Fortune releases iPad App
Fortune magazine has unveiled a magazine application for the iPad.

Costing $4.99 per issue, the App contains all content from the magazine, with additional photo slideshows, videos, archive material and exclusive stories. Chase, IBM and Residence Inn by Marriott are among the first advertisers to use the platform.

The app allows users to flip through sections of the magazine and receive instant stock quotes with interactive graphics.  It has a live news feed from CNNMoney.com and Fortune.com and has access to more extensive information on Fortune lists, including the Fortune 500.

There are currently two issues available for download: the latest newsstand edition, with cover story “Is Google Over?” and a free sample edition, featuring content from a variety of previous issues.

The app is available for download from the iTunes App store.
