Euronews extends East African reach
Euronews’ English version has gained ground in three major East African countries.

The news channel package has been added to the Zaku DTH package which was launched in September 2011 and is already available in Kenya to 10,000 subscribers. Euronews will air in Uganda this month and in Tanzania come November.

Across sub-Saharan Africa Euronews is broadcast to 20 million homes via satellite, cable, terrestrial and high-speed broadband systems.

Earlier this week Euronews opened a permanent bureau in Kyiv, Ukraine following its collaboration with Ukraine’s National Television Company (NTU).
