Uniqlo named advertiser of the year by Spikes

The Japanese retail china Uniqlo has been named this year’s Spikes Asia Advertiser of the Year.

The retailer – which designs, manufactures and markets clothes around the world – was honoured for its quality of campaigns and innovative marketing techniques produced by its agencies across the Asia Pacific region.

Uniqlo’s senior vice-president, Naoki Otoma, will be presented with the award during the Spikes Asia awards ceremony on 21 September at the Esplanade theatre in Singapore.

“Without doubt, Uniqlo wholeheartedly embrace and encourage creative thinking. From working at the very core of creativity alongside artists, designers and musicians through to taking onboard the ground-breaking marketing ideas produced by their agencies, Uniqlo are not afraid to push the boundaries when promoting its products. Uniqlo are very deserving of the Advertiser of the Year accolade.” said Terry Savage, chairman of the Festival.
