GroupM Switzerland names new CEO
12 June 2012
GroupM Switzerland has appointed digital communications expert Klaus Nadler as its chief executive.
Nadler joins GroupM from IP Germany, where he was director of operations. In the role he was responsible for the creation and development of the company’s digital operations and also digital media within RTL Germany.
In 2011, Nadler was also appointed to the board of AGOF, a trade association dedicated to developing online research. He served as the vice-chairman of the group’s internet department and was tasked with examining the impact of digitalisation on media and assessing the potential for digital advertising.
He succeeds interim chief executive Peter Lammerhuber, who will continue to oversee GroupM Switzerland as part of his role as GroupM Austria chief executive.
“I’m looking forward to developing our business in Switzerland and working closely with our clients and our media partners to develop exciting new marketing opportunities in Swiss media,” says Nadler.
Havas Media recently increased its pressence in the Swiss media market
by acquiring a majority stake in Zurich-based Mediaxis MPG.
