Nintendo and Eurosport in 3D partnership

Nintendo has formed a new partnership with Eurosport to release 3D sports videos via a dedicated Eurosport video player app on the Nintendo 3DS.

The videos will be released weekly and available for Nintendo 3DS owners to download free of charge. The two-to-three minute 3D videos feature content from Eurosport’s WATTS programme, which includes a mix of sporting action and funny sporting outtakes from across the globe.

The Eurosport app and Nintendo Video utilise the inbuilt SpotPass technology which allows Nintendo 3DS users to receive content while on the move. It enables users to connect to public WiFi hotspots as well as wireless broadband internet at home.

“We are always striving to bring fun and exciting content to our fans and this new partnership with Eurosport will do just that,” says Nintendo Europe managing director of marketing and PR Laurent Fischer. “We are looking forward to launching the WATTS videos each week along with a host of other 3D vontent on Nintendo Video from our various partners.”
