Dutch Free Media Group acquires FHM
16 April 2009
Amsterdam-based Free Media Group will assume publication of the Dutch edition of men's magazine FHM from 1 May.
The company, run by owner/editor-in-chief Arno Kantelberg, acquired the rights from Telegraaf Media Group (TMG). It has already acquired Esquire from TMG, and the move is part of TMG's decision to sell off almost all of its consumer and special interest titles besides those linked closely with De Telegraaf, the country's dominant national newspaper.
FHM has a paid circulation of around 50.000 in the Netherlands.
