Financial News launches iPad app

Dow Jones & Company’s European publication Financial News is expanding its digital offering with the launch of an iPad app.
The iPad app offers a range of content across Financial News’ four key sectors: investment banking, asset management, trading and technology, and private equity.
The app is free to download, with existing Financial News subscribers gaining full access to news updates, the ‘People’ section and US news, as well as features including blogs, special reports, photo galleries and the FN100 list of most influential people in the financial markets.
Launch sponsors of the app include QFC Authority, Russell Indexes and Newedge.
Content can be downloaded and read offline. The app also allows users to search for archived content from its print and online editions. An ‘iPad Highlights’ section gives non-subscribers free access to a sample of Financial News stories and analysis.
“Advertisers are able to reach our valuable audience across multiple platforms, including print, web, mobile and now the iPad,” says Financial News publisher Jonathan Wright. “The enhanced reader experience that the app provides significantly expands our digital offering and allows for greater engagement with our target audience.”
