Fetch scoops Ebay’s European mobile business
22 November 2012
Global online marketplace Ebay has appointed mobile marketing agency Fetch to handle all of its mobile media and creative campaigns across Europe.
Fetch picked up the business following a competitive pitch involving eight other agencies spanning capabilities in mobile, digital and traditional media.
The agency’s first work for Ebay will begin later this year, kicking off with a campaign focused on the Christmas shopping period.
Mobile is set to play a significant role in Ebay’s media mix, now accounting for around 30% of its overall business.
“We have long considered Ebay to be one of the most innovative brands in the mobile space,” says Fetch managing director James Connelly. “We’ve been using Ebay as a best-in-class case study for years, and we’re looking forward to helping Ebay strengthen its mobile offering, and engage with consumers across multiple platforms.”
