MEC Malaysia claims Wrangler account

Wrangler has awarded its total communication, media and digital planning and buying business for Malaysia and Singapore to MEC’s Malaysian division.

The appointment, which is effective immediately, follows a three-way pitch. It comes as Wrangler begins operating under a new distribution and management company Atelier Lifestyle, which is responsible for a reposition of the brand to increase its appeal and relevancy among consumers. Wrangler also recently opened its flagship store in Malaysia in the Sunway Pyramid complex.

“We are excited about the new partnership with MEC and we look forward to working with the team in order to tap into genuine communications planning which will help grow our brand across Malaysia and Singapore,” said Gwei Tze-Co, managing director, Atelier Lifestyle.

MEC boasts a global workforce of more than 4,000 people across 84 countries.
