Beiersdorf calls $173m pan-Euro media review

Cosmetics giant Beiersdorf has put its estimated $173m pan-European media account out for pitch.

The company behind brands including Nivea, Eucerin and LaPrairie, has issued a request-for-information, with the review expected to conclude in the second half of the year.

Carat is the incumbent agency on the account, after picking up the pan-European business in 1998. The Aegis-owned agency also looks after Beiersdorf’s $100m US media account, which it scooped from OMD in 2010.

Draftfcb has handled the brand’s global $700m creative account since 2010.

In November, Beiersdorf launched a fully-integrated global campaign for its Nivea Repair & Care products, entitled ‘Uncovered’.
