Louis Vuitton calls global advertising review

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has launched a review of its global advertising account, which is currently held by Ogilvy & Mather Paris.

The pitch is being led out of France and incumbent agency Ogilvy & Mather is expected to re-pitch for the business.

Ogilvy & Mather Paris scooped Louis Vuitton’s global creative duties in December 2006 following a pitch against TBWA\London and its then incumbent BETC.

Louis Vuitton is traditionally known for featuring numerous high-profile celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, in its ad campaigns. More recently, the LVMH-owned brand recruited Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps to feature in its latest work.

Earlier this month, Louis Vuitton revealed plans to set up a new luxury brand in India through its private equity arm L Capital.
