Heineken continues global push

International beer brand Heineken has launched the second film instalment of its global ‘Open Your World’ campaign.
‘The Date’ premiered on the Heineken Youtube channel and Facebook page. Created by the same team behind the first film ‘The Entrance’, which launched globally in December 2010, the film follows a man as he ‘woos his date on an epic journey’.
“It’s exciting to continue to find fresh ways to flatter the Heineken drinkers, and with ‘The Date’ we have found another way to showcase our man’s spectrum of skills,” said Eric Quennoy, executive creative director, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam. “This is just the start of work we hope creates a genuine conversation between the brand and its drinkers.”
In addition to the film, the Heineken global brand campaign is to release additional supporting material, including a tongue-in-cheek ‘Legendary Making of’ and a music video, along with consumer participation elements to launch in the coming months.
