TMI secures Fox as comedy sponsor
27 May 2011
Twentieth Century Fox is sponsoring Turner Media Innovations’ (TMI) weekday comedy block, ‘Laughternoons’.
Fox’s activity on the Cartoon Network will focus on its latest kids’ film Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules, to mark the film’s nationwide release today.
To accompany the campaign, TMI has designed a website which will feature games and give kids a chance to win prizes. A nationwide poster campaign in 1000 schools will advertise the film and promote the games.
Elizabeth Anyaegbuna, group account director, TMI, said: “Across our kids’ channels network we have the largest share of commercial impacts for kids four to nine, providing an excellent platform to promote this latest film in the popular ‘Wimpy Kid’ franchise.”
‘Laughternoons’ is a primetime comedy block on Cartoon Network which showcases the channels’ funniest shows including Regular Show, Adventure Time, Angelo Rules and The Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack.
