Cannes and Haymarket in AME partnership

The International Advertising Festival, organisers of Cannes Lions, and Haymarket Media are to extend their Spikes Asia joint venture to include the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival (AME).
The aim is to build the AME event into the region’s largest forum for marketing effectiveness, with the event taking place at the end of March 2011 in Shanghai. This will be run by the same management team as Spikes Asia.
The awards competition, now in its 9th year, recognises the role of innovative strategy, creativity and first-rate execution to build brands and deliver solid business results.
Phil Thomas, chief executive of Cannes Lions, said: “The Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival already has significant footing in the region and we look forward to growing the festival into a major force.”
