Madbid.com expands into the Nordics

Interactive social auctioning platform Madbid.com is extending its reach into the Nordic region, having launched in Sweden and Finland.
Consumers in Sweden and Finland will be able to access pay-to-bid auctions, where they can get more than 80% off the recommended retail price. Madbid.com is already established in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain and as a white label in South America. Further Nordic countries are to be added later in the year.
“Our intention has always been to continue to grow and redefine social commerce boundaries,” said Juha Koski, founder and managing director, Madbid.com. “Launching in the Nordic regions is both part of our strategic vision, in exploring new avenues of social and e-commerce, and natural organic growth.”
Nordic customers will also be able to use Madbid.com’s ‘Sneak-a-Peek’ service, which launched in January. ‘Sneak-a-Peek’ is a paid-for service allowing bidders to keep an eye on their competitors’ actions. Madbid.com will be adding more features to its social offering in the coming months.
