Eurosport unveils HD channel in Asia-Pacific region
Eurosport Group is strengthening its proposition in the Asia-Pacific territories as it unveils a new HD channel in the region.

Eurosport Asia-Pacific HD adds to the already present Eurosport Asia-Pacific and Eurosportnews that are distributed across 19 countries. Taiwan’s TFN Media and Kbro, plus SkyLife in South Korea are the first platforms to take up the new channel, with more expected to follow by the end of the year.

“Eurosport Asia-Pacific has always been committed to offering our viewers choice, by broadcasting a wide variety of over 60 sports, and focusing on live coverage,” said Eurosport Asia-Pacific managing director, Arjan Hoekstra. “Now our viewers have the added option of watching these sports with superior picture and sound quality, as nowhere is the value of HD more apparent than in sports.”

In 2008 Eurosport HD launched in Europe and is now available in 43 countries and in 20 languages reaching 15 million homes. The following year Eurosport 2 HD was introduced to Europe, which broadcasts in 22 countries.
