Shell sponsors CNBC Energy Opportunities

Shell has signed up to sponsor CNBC’s newly-launched Energy Opportunities, a global collaborative sustainability initiative.

Energy Opportunities, in collaboration with the Harvard Business Review, centres around three CNBC brainstorm events being held across the globe, exploring themes ‘Smarter Mobility’, ‘Energy Technology and Innovation’ and ‘Transition Fuels’.

In addition, supporting discussions will take place online and highlights aired on CNBC. Ahead of each event, the Harvard Business Review will hold webinars. The first debate was held in London, with subsequent events to take place in China and Singapore.

The findings will be presented in a one-off, hour long programme called Energy Opportunities: The Global Brainstorm, which will air on CNBC in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific in December.

“We have launched this global brainstorm to explore the energy options of the future and we’re engaging both senior level figures and the broader public to help find the solutions,” said CNBC head of creative solutions Niaz Samadizadeh. “Dialogue will be taking place on the ground in three cities, online and on-air, enabling us to draw out some of the best ideas about how we can design a more sustainable future.”
