Rob Horler steps down as Dentsu Aegis US head

Rob Horler US CEO of media network Dentsu Aegis has stepped down from his role after two-and-a-half years to “pursue other opportunities”.

Nigel Morris Dentsu Aegis head of the Americas will take up his position for an interim period while a replacement is sought.

“With the US business in the hands of great people and strong talent, we are well set up for future, and after 17 years, this felt like the right time to step back and do something different,” said Horler. “It has been an incredible journey and I’m thankful for the opportunity, and look forward to new challenges.”

Horler joined Carat Interactive in 2000 as managing partner and was promoted to managing director in 2002. In 2004, he set up online media planning and buying shop Diffiniti in the UK, which later transformed to become iProspect.

Horler was appointed CEO of Dentsu Aegis US in 2015 after holding senior roles at Dentsu Aegis agency Carat in the UK.

“Throughout his career with the group, Rob has been a key driver of our success and a hands-on, operational leader,” said Morris. “We thank him for all of his contributions and wish him the best for the future.”
