Search to find Asia Pacific’s brightest young media talent

Festival of Media has kicked off its annual search for the brightest young talent in Asia Pacific.

Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Award 2015, supported by Starcom Mediavest Group, looks to seek out the region’s most innovative and creative individual under the age of 30, working for media agencies, advertisers or media owners.

Entrants will have the opportunity to work on a client brief provided by Airbnb, and to present to an independent jury of industry leaders as well as Festival delegates. Last year’s jury included senior clients from Unilever and Kellogg’s.

The winner will be announced at the Festival of Media Asia Pacific 2015 Awards ceremony on 24 March in Singapore.

To enter, individuals must simply read the entry template and guidelines and prepare a written submission by 6 February. More details can be found here.

Shortlisted entrants will then receive a complimentary ticket to this year’s Festival of Media Asia Pacific.

Speaking a year later, Rising Star Award 2014 winner Donna Sharp – business director, digital, at Starcom Greater China – recalls her pride at winning the prize.

“Winning showed that all my agency training and experience was recognised on an industry level, and gave me an opportunity to connect with a lot of other smart agency folks around the region,” said Sharp.

“It was great to come home to an agency celebration – and my team, which makes me look like a star every day by working together on amazing strategy and flawless execution.

“Even our global CEO Laura Desmond created a video with my office colleagues to tell me ‘congratulations’,” she added.
