Following a multi-agency review, AirAsia has appointed its search marketing business to Starcom Mediavest Group’s (SMG) Malaysia office, together with India’s SMG Convonix, across 16 Asia Pacific markets.
The markets which will be under SMG’s search marketing business remit comprise Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Brunei and India.

This announcement follows the appointment of SMG to AirAsia BIG’s airline loyalty business in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia in June from the incumbent Carat Media Services.
