Stewart Easterbrook takes place on PopShack board

Social music business PopShack has appointed former CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group, Stewart Easterbrook, to the board following his investment in the company.

Easterbrook, who most recently served as European digital lead at Starcom MediaVest, will join the board as a non-executive director with a focus on diversifying and enhancing brand partnerships.

Earlier this month, Bill Roedy, former CEO and chairman of MTV Networks International, also bought a stake in the company and took a place on the board.

With over 20 years’ experience in marketing, digital media and technology, Easterbrook has held a number of senior positions at Publicis Group. In 2008 he became CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group UK, managing the UK group board and the operations of the two UK agency businesses, Starcom and MediaVest.

Easterbrook said: “PopShack is an exciting venture occupying a unique space – understanding both the nuances of the YouTube generation and the demands of brands in driving consumer engagement… I’m delighted to be taking a stake and joining the board.”
