The World Media Group (WMG) has revealed the shortlist for the inaugural World Media Awards, with entered campaigns by advertisers including Deutsche Bank, Land Rover, Microsoft and Airbnb.
The WMG, a strategic alliance of leading international publishers, last year announced the launch of the World Media Awards, with the aim of recognising the best in content-driven communications campaigns that have truly international reach.
The awards have attracted entries from the globe, including markets such as Australia, Canada, China, Germany and the UAE.
The winners – including a Grand Prix chosen by the judges – will be announced at an exclusive, invitation-only reception on Wednesday 16 March at The Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, London
“Our jury of twenty-two independent, international industry experts was blown away by the quality and innovation that they saw in this year’s entries,” said Alex Altman, managing director at MEC Global Solutions and co-head judge of the World Media Awards.
“Cross-border content campaigns have a high level of complexity, but the shortlisted entries demonstrate how great planning and creativity can create results that transcend geographical boundaries.”
