Constantinou only joined the company last September, but will leave shortly after assessing “a number of opportunities being offered in the marketplace” during his notice period, according to a company spokesperson who confirmed the move.

Peter Boucher, chief commercial officer, said: “We would like to thank Nick for his important contribution in improving the quality of our product, brand and marketing activities. We are sad to see him leave but wish him all the best for the future.”

Prior to his role at Addison Lee, Constantinou held roles at AKQA and McCann Erickson London. It is not yet known who will take over as his replacement.

Addison Lee now offers its services in over 350 cities worldwide. The company is facing growing competition in the taxi market, with smartphone apps Hailo and Uber taking over the marketplace.
