Prior to working at BrightRoll, Falck spent eight years at Google, helping to build and grow digital advertising for the company.

Falck felt that Turn had “enormous talent and outstanding technology” in the programmatic space, with potential to scale. “We are well positioned to help our prestigious agency and brand customers create amazing, relevant experiences for consumers,” he added.

He will lead an executive team at the company which enables anonymous audience planning, data centralization, cross-device advertising, and advanced analytics, along with point-and-click access to adapt to the ever-changing motivations of consumers.

The company works with more than 5,000 worldwide advertisers, including American Express, eBay, HP, L’Oreal USA and Thomas Cook.

“Bruce has a proven track record and built Google Display Network, DoubleClick Bid Manager, and DoubleClick AdX into multibillion-dollar businesses,” said Turn founder and chairman Jim Barnett.

“Now, with Bruce added to a seasoned leadership team, we believe the company is ready to accelerate and fully realize its potential as the independent advertising platform for global marketers.

This announcement comes following the recent appointments of former AOL executive Wendy MacGregor and former Google executive Richard Robinson.

Yahoo acquired video advertising company BrightRoll last year in a £640m deal.
