Vacharanetr joins MEC from fellow GroupM agency Maxus, where she was also managing director for Thailand. In her four years with the agency, she is credited with overseeing its doubling in size, and the addition of new clients such as L’Oreal, SC Johnson and MG Cars.

Prior to joining Maxus, Vacharanetr held the position of managing partner at Mindshare.

Stephen Li, MEC’s Asia Pacific CEO, said: “I am delighted to welcome someone of [Vacharanetr’s] experience, knowledge and charisma to MEC.

“From the first time I met her, I could tell that she would be constantly ambitious for her clients, he people and her industry to thrive, and this is the exactly the kind of spirit we want at MEC.”

Maxus Thailand has promoted Dujduan Sornmani to the position of managing director. Sornmani, a former Diageo marketer, had previously operated as business director on the L’Oreal account.
